# Set a profile for a Hardware Vault

#### Step 1

Go to the **Hardware Vaults** section.

#### Step 2

Select the needed hardware vault and click on the line with it. Click the **Change profile** button.

You can set a new profile only for hardware vaults in status Active.

#### Step 3

Choose the desired profile and click **Change**.

When an administrator changes profile settings, remote tasks are created to change access settings. These tasks will be completed as soon as the device is connected.
