# Step 1: Configure the Identity Provider — Hideez Enterprise Server (HES)

1. Log in to the Hideez Enterprise Server (HES) as an administrator.
2. Navigate to Settings > Parameters in the left panel.
3. Click on the SAML widget in the right panel.
4. Click the "Configure IdP" button.
5. Upload your X.509 certificate.

*Note: If you do not have a valid X.509 certificate, you can generate a self-signed certificate.*

6. Wait until the status in the Identity Provider Configuration section changes to "Configured".
7. Click the "Download Metadata" link and save the file.\
   This metadata file will be required for Oracle Access Manager (OAM) configuration in Step 2.
