# How to change the password for an administrator account?

Hideez Enterprise Server – Changing the password

#### Step 1

In the upper right corner of the window, click the profile icon and select the **Profile** tab from the drop-down list.

Step 2

In the Profile window, navigate to the **Password** section and click **Change**.

Then enter the current password and a new password in the appropriate fields and click **Save**.

It is not recommended to use the **<admin@hideez.com>** account for password recovery, as you will not be able to recover a forgotten password via email. [Create your own account](/hideez-enterprise-server/administration/adding-an-admin-account.md) with a valid email address for this purpose.
