# Delete key from Hideez Server

Delete any unused Hideez Key that you have imported to your server by following these steps:

1. Navigate to the **Hardware Vaults** section.
2. Select the Key that you want to delete.
3. Confirm your action by entering the key serial number.
4. Click the **'Delete'** button.

You will receive a notification:

* You **can delete** the key only in the following statuses: **Ready, Locked, Suspended, Deactivated, Compromised.**
* You **cannot delete** the key in the statuses: **Reserved or Active**.
