# Transition to Compromised status

The Compromised status can be transferred from the statuses: 

* Reserved 
* Active 
* Locked 
* Suspended

It is impossible to leave this status; the data cannot be restored.

#### Step 1

Select the desired Hardware vault in the list and click on it.

#### Step 2

Click the **Vault is Compromised** button.

#### Step 3

Due to the irreversibility of this action, you must confirm your intention. Select a reason from the list, enter the serial number of the device, and click **Compromised**.
